THE HONEST RESPONSE
As for the taste, we’ve liked half and hated half of the recipes. We are finding the ones we can stomach and the ones we can’t. We have been pleasantly surprised by some of the veggie-oriented juices that we thought would be God-awful, which have instead, been quite refreshing. We love carrot recipes, along with ones including apples, fennel (tastes kind of like licorice!), orange, and even leafy greens!

THE AFTERMATH
global-share-iconOverall, Cole and I have a ton more energy than we thought we would! I’m not a morning person (at all) and when I wake up, I actually feel rested and willing to get out of bed! (Not to mention, both of our “morning breath” is ten times less dragon-ish!). As for Cole, he’s been knocking work out like no ones business. He’s a photographer, and his weeks are usually committed to editing shoots. He has completed twice the amount of work that he usually gets done in 2 days! He says his focus is totally different than before and although he does feel hunger pains here and there, he still feels energetic and ready to take on the day. I am actually surprised at myself. I feel really hungry at those “snacking times” in the afternoons and late at night, but other than that, I actually feel quite satiated during the day. And we both have lost weight (of course, who doesn’t look smaller after a fast?). We ALMOST went to Ihop on the night of Day 2. No, really, in all seriousness, we almost walked out the door when we thought of their pancakes. I even (shamefully) tried to bargain with him. I told him we could still update the blog with the juices we drank even if we did eat pancakes in between; no one would know the difference! But alas, Cole and my conscience won out at the last minute and we chose to go to bed instead. We wanted to know if Day #4 was really all it’s cracked up to be after braving through the first three days. So I guess we will find out!
